The Committee of the Great Park Pastoral Area met on Tuesday 29 November.  There are the following matters to report:

Consultation on Mass Times:  The responses to the questionnaire and profile of the area distributed in all four parishes during November are now being analysed and a working party will be formed to consider what recommendations should be made.  Thank you to all parishioners who participated in this important exercise.

Eucharistic Ministers’ Retreat held on 26 November at St Joseph’s and was a great success, with 56 people in attendance.  This will become an annual event—the date for next year is 24 November 2012.

Advent Services: The first of these was held at St Edmund Campion on 27 November followed by a Holy Hour at St Edward’s on 4 December and a Carol Service at St Joseph's on 11 December.  The final event was a Carol Service at St Thomas More on 21 December, followed by mince pies and mulled wine.

Confirmation: The next Confirmation Service for the Pastoral Area will take place on Friday 5 October 2012.  The venue will be announced nearer the time.

Lenten Project: It was agreed that this will be a joint project for the Pastoral Area once again.  A target figure will be decided and each parish will be allocated a share of that target.  The project for Lent 2012 is likely to be related to the work of the Mill Hill Missionaries and will have a minimum target of £10,000.
