Come in and see what is happening in School. All the children are inviting their parents or carers to a coffee morning for their class. The idea is that when you bring your child to school you stay for wake up and shake up (weather permitting) and then spend 15 minutes in class with your child. The children can show you the displays and talk about what they are doing in class at the moment. The children will then continue with the timetable and you may go to the hall for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat with other parents before you go on with your day. These are not occasions for talking to the staff about your child but a chance for your child to share what they are doing in school with you. There is no catch! Just come in and find out a little more about the children’s day.

The children will need to wear a t-shirt, predominantly in their house colour, PE shorts and trainers or plimsoles. All children should have a water bottle and a named sunhat and it is recommended that sunscreen is applied before school as the field is very open and all the children will be out all morning. As with last year’s successful format all children will be involved in a series of races appropriate to their age and ability. The day begins at 9.10am with wake up and shake up and races begin at 9.30am. The event should be completed by lunchtime with families invited to stay and have a picnic lunch with their child. At 1pm the children will return to classes and, if you wish, you may then collect your child from the classroom and take them home. Children may of course stay for the afternoon and be collected at 3.10pm as usual.
